The Design Story

Where once there were long stacks of text, caressed by bullet points, now rest short paragraphs of perfect measure and leading. Where once pages sat bare of imagery, now stand visually intriguing monuments to Philosophy and Religious Studies. The goal of the marketing refresh for UNF's Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies was to make the information present in their prior brochures more palettable for students looking for information. The most important information stands out, drawing the eye of the reader in with images that provide visual break-up and interest.

Typesetting

The injection of color is deliberate, based on both UNF's established brand guidelines and the "theme" of each class. Grey was chosen for Philosophy because this major focuses on the areas between the often black and white views of the general public, where things meld into a shifting grey. Yellow was chosen for Religious Studies because it is a major that seeks to enlighten its students on the views and cultures of others so that they can foster understanding.
